The "Requests" section is part of the "Sales" tab in the Magento admin panel and is crucial for managing customer inquiries about quotes. This section features a comprehensive table that lists all customer requests for quotes, providing key details and actionable options to manage these requests effectively.

Accessing Requests

To access the requests:

  1. Navigate to the Sales tab in the Magento admin panel.
  2. Select Requests from the dropdown menu to display a table of all price requests.

Features of the Requests Table

The table displays essential details about each request, enabling administrators to efficiently track and manage quote inquiries:

  • ID: Unique identifier for each request.
  • Quote Details: Information about the associated quote.
  • Requested Products: Displays products that the customer is interested in.
  • Customer Details: Includes name, email, and contact information.
  • Store View: The store view from which the request was made.
  • Message: Customer's message or inquiry details.
  • Created: The date and time the request was submitted.
  • Actions: A column with actionable buttons like View, Edit, or Delete.

Managing Individual Requests

Clicking on any entry in the table or selecting "View" in the "Actions" column opens the detailed request page, where several functionalities are available:

On the detailed request page, administrators can:

  • View comprehensive details about the request, including customer data and product specifics.
  • Respond directly to the customer using an integrated messaging system that supports rich text and attachments.
  • Convert the request into a formal quote with pre-filled details that can be adjusted as needed.

Actions Available

  • Reply to Customer: Allows sending a personalized response to the customer's inquiry or quote request.
  • Create a Quote: Converts the customer's request into a quote, allowing further customization before sending it to the customer.
  • Attach a PDF: Provides an option to attach a detailed quote in PDF format along with the response.
