Admin Role Access

EasyQuote integrates with Magento's built-in ACL (Access Control List) system, allowing you to control which admin users can access specific EasyQuote features.

Configuring Role Permissions

  1. Navigate to System > Permissions > User Roles in the Magento admin panel.

  2. Select the role you want to configure, or create a new one.

  3. Go to the Role Resources tab.

  4. In the resource tree, locate the Sales section where EasyQuote resources are listed:

    • MageMe EasyQuote
      • Quotes — Access to manage quotes (view, create, edit, delete, duplicate, send proposals).
      • Requests — Access to manage customer quote requests (view, reply, delete).
      • Configuration — Access to EasyQuote settings under Stores > Configuration.
  5. Check or uncheck the resources as needed for the role.

  6. Click Save Role.

Use Cases

  • Sales Representatives: Grant access to Quotes and Requests but restrict Configuration to prevent accidental changes to global settings.
  • Customer Service: Grant access to Requests only, allowing the team to view and reply to customer inquiries without modifying quotes.
  • Store Administrators: Full access to all EasyQuote resources including Configuration.

Notes

  • Changes take effect the next time the admin user with the configured role logs in.
  • If a user does not have permission to a specific section, the corresponding menu items will not appear in their admin panel navigation.
